Soñando con las lanillas. Cuando navegamos en ceñida, tenemos que mirar los catavientos siempre. En mis clases de vela, siempre hago mucho hincapié en que hay que estar atento a las lanillas del foque o génova cuando navegamos en rumbos del través a la ceñida. Muchas veces, el tripulante viene viciado por la electrónica y deja esta herramienta relegada al recuerdo. No se da cuenta que una lanilla es más eficaz que la electrónica. No quiero decir con esto que los avances tecnológicos en náutica no sean útiles. Nada más lejos de mi intención. Solo digo que los catavientos, cualesquiera que tengamos a bordo son una herramienta fabulosa. Discover "FIDELIS," a beautifully maintained 1994 Caliber 35 now available with transferrable moorage. At 35’9” LOA, with an 11’4” beam and a 4’6” draft, she offers a stable and comfortable ride. Displacement is 13,100 lbs with 6,100 lbs of ballast. Power comes from a 27HP Yanmar 3GM30F diesel, driving a 3-blade feathering prop. Tankage includes 26 gal diesel, 70 gal freshwater, and a molded holding tank. The masthead sloop rig features an aluminum keel-stepped mast and boom, Profurl furling system, and Precision sails (2018). Lewmar 44 and 16 winches handle sail control. Standing rigging appears in good condition at deck level, with chromed bronze turnbuckles and stainless chainplates. The interior sleeps six with a forward V-berth, two salon settees, and an aft pilot berth. The teak joinery is warm and well-maintained. The galley includes a gimballed 2-burner LPG stove/oven, 12V fridge, and 6 gal hot water heater. The head is manual, with a handheld shower, and heat comes from a diesel Ardic forced-air heater. Electrical systems include 4 x 6V house batteries, a 12V start battery, Xantrex inverter/charger, and 150W of solar. Shore power is 30A, with a custom Blue Sea panel and GFCI outlets. Navigation gear includes a Garmin chartplotter, Autohelm autopilot, Raymarine wind/depth, and both fixed and handheld VHF radios. Safety gear includes fire extinguishers, flares, manual bilge pump, and a 2019 full cockpit enclosure. Ground tackle includes a 33 lb Bruce anchor with 65' chain and 200' nylon rode, powered by a 12V Lewmar windlass.
