The boat was touching 10 knots of boats speed in gust up to 16 knots on the beautiful sunny day on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. Flat water and breeze really aloud the Mumm 36 to get her bow out of the water and jump up on the plane. The it was perfect condition for the yacht with the crew working together to ensure the sails were trimmed to perfection to keep the boat flat while reaching as the tighten up to make the bottom mark. Go to Red was a great boat which creation many memories which the crew and hopefully you look back on fondly for many years to come.
New Test! 🎬 The Cruisers Yachts 38 VTR marks a significant design departure for the Oconto-based builder, pairing a contemporary plumb bow with a hybrid stepped hull developed by DLBA Naval Architects. This running surface is specifically engineered for a flatter plane and reduced drag, which we validated during our sea trials. Powered by twin Mercury Verado outboards, the 38 VTR reached a top speed of 44.2 mph and maintained a steady 24.1 mph cruise at 4000 RPM. Beyond the performance data, the NMMA-certified 38 VTR offers substantial versatility through five distinct cockpit layouts and a portside beach door that expands the usable beam at anchor. 🌊 See how the 38 VTR handled in our Boat Test: https://boattest.com/boats/cruisers-yachts/38-vtr-2026B 🔗 [Link in Bio] #cruisersyachts #boattest #cruisers38vtr
