Day 5 offshore sailing from Chile to Panama ⛵️ When we are on long passages one of the most important jobs is to check all lines, blocks, sails ect. for wear and tear. Being used non stop for days will inevitably cause damage. The Royal Malta Yacht Club successfully hosted the Yachting Malta Race Week, an action-packed programme of sailing events that brought together offshore, coastal, dinghy, and women’s sailing competitions. The week-long schedule showcased the diversity of the sport and the enthusiasm of the Maltese sailing community. The programme featured a variety of events, including a long offshore race to Licata, coastal and round-the-cans races, and a Dinghy Ranking Regatta. In addition, the Royal Malta Yacht Club joined forces with Vikings Sailing Club to host Steering the Course, a World Sailing initiative aimed at encouraging greater female participation in the sport.
