This is one of Queensland's trickiest and most nerve-wracking bar crossings because of its shifting sandbanks & confused seas. We made our crossing with up-to-date waypoints from Marine Rescue, a rising tide, and the flattest swell we could hope for.. 📍 Subscribe for more: https://www.youtube.com/@sailingami 🐠 Support: (10% goes to marine conservation): https://www.patreon.com/c/SailingAmi 📸 Instagram: @_kayleighbrown 🎶 Music licensed via Uppbeat (paid plan): https://www.uppbeat.io 💬 Got a question or just want to say hi? We use our dinghy anchor mostly to keep our dinghy from hitting the dock when there is a swell. What we do is tie the dinghy to the dock, shoot the dinghy anchor off the back, and then pull the anchor line tight enough so that the dinghy doesn’t hit the dock. After we came back to a popped dinghy in Mustique, we learned that it’s best to use an anchor!
