Renders of the new EVO 60. ▫️ Evolution Marine Manufacturing, Cape Town, has announced the construction of the EVO 60, a high-performance, luxury sailing catamaran. What do you think? ▫️ Designed by Du Toit Yacht Design, who have earned their place as one of the premier yacht design firms. With an E-glass/Carbon epoxy structure that will deliver a stiff, durable, and insulated platform. Carbon rig, boom, longeron, and crossbeam, as well as an new articulating helm position, an upgrade from the pivot systems currently available off the shelf. ▫️ The EVO 60's sail plan and rigging are optimised for performance. Peterson of Peterson Builders, Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and built in 1946. Utopia’s unique features include a steel double bottom for strength, wooden hull sides for warmth, and twin Detroit diesel engines. Visitors can marvel at her elegant lines, learn about her global circumnavigation, and appreciate the craftsmanship that has kept her sailing for decades. Utopia currently resides under the stewardship of the her new owners based in Manitowoc Wisconsin, where it continues to inspire curiosity and passion for the Great Lakes among learners of all ages.
