S/V Sea Glass, a 2011 Leopard 46 catamaran designed by Morrelli and Melvin, is one of the last of their most successful performance cruising catamaran models. Our three-cabin owner model has never been chartered, has no storm or lightning damage, has been well cared for and diligently maintained. A USCG documented vessel, Sea Glass is available now and is located in Maine. She is turn-key and ready for new owners to sail south for the 2023/4 season. With a 73’ air draft, the standing rigging includes a factory installed compression post for improved sailing performance and a collapsible bowsprit. The sail package includes a Doyle mainsail and furling Genoa, Quantum Code Zero on a continuous furler and two asymmetrical spinnakers with dowsing socks. All sails are in good condition for cruising. Twin Yanmar 4JH-5E (~3.7k hrs./ea.) diesels with SD-60 transmissions/sail drives received 1,000 hr. servicing to Yanmar spec in 2022. A 9kW Northern Lights genset (~6.0K hrs) (also received the manufacturer's required maintenance schedule in 2022/3); Lifeline AGM house battery bank totaling 810A/hr coupled with 1,120 watts of new solar panels (two rigid 400-watt NEC Alpha and two flexible 160-watt Sol-Go panels) are installed on the cockpit and helm decks. https://www.catamaransite.com/catamarans-for-sale/leopard-46-6/
It’s been a bit quite. I’ve been really sick, as you can hear in this video😅 but here is one of my latest projects, not finished but hey… you gotta start somewhere! Little back story, I’ve had this huge solar panel sitting in my living area for over 2 months now, not connected just in my way. So I decided it’s time to get it installed but mounting on the canvas roof without damaging the canvas seems tricky, so I decided to build a hard top out of plywood and fiberglass and fit it onto the frame. Means I can easily mount the solar panel and other stuff like outdoor light and more fairy lights ✨ Thanks for the help As a complete newbie to the sailing world, I had no idea where to start my liveaboard life and I had so much to learn. But first things first. I bought a sailboat, an old wooden ex fishing boat, build for rough seas, 40 ft long and over 15t heavy. But before the sailing life begins I have to do a lot of work, from re caulking to placing planks and wood rot, repainting and anti fouling as well as turning the whole inside into a beautiful homely living space. Come along and help me figure out how to live on a boat and how to sail.
