Separado, morando sozinho num pequeno barraco, com os filhos morando muito distante (dois no Canadรก e a caรงula em Paraty) jรก estava aceitando a vida sedentรกria. Fazia suas cainhadas diรกrias e danรงava eventualmente. O restante do tempo era com leitura e televisรฃo. Em 2022 foi visitar seus filhos no Canadรก e seu filho mais velho tinha comprado um pequeno veleiro para navegar no lago de Montreal. Entรฃo, num passeio nessa pequena embarcaรงรฃo, meu filho iniciou um diรกlogo mais ou menos assim: - Veio! Vocรช jรก foi um grande aventureiro por que nรฃo faz mais uma aventura? - Que aventura, cara! โ respondi. - Vir de Veleiro do Brasil atรฉ o Canadรก. Vocรช precisa sair de casa. Precisa de objetivos de vida. - Vocรช estรก louco? Nรฃo tenho dinheiro para comprar um veleiro! โ respondeu o velho. - Vocรช nรฃo tem uma Previdรชncia Privada? - Sim. Tenho. Mas ela รฉ para quando eu ficar velho. ร para minha saรบde โ respondeu. - Mas vocรช jรก nรฃo estรก velho? (e emitiu uma sonora gargalhada). Entรฃo vocรช retira esse dinheiro e compra um veleiro. Comece a estudar, assistir vรญdeos e ler livros. Depois vocรช vende o veleiro e repรตe a grana. A sugestรฃo do filho foi como um trauma mental para o pai. A partir desse dia aprender sobre velas tornou-se sua obsessรฃo. Tudo na vida do velho foi relacionado ร navegaรงรฃo. Comeรงou a devorar livros e assistir todo tipo de vรญdeo no YouTube. No primeiro semestre de 2023 tirou a habilitaรงรฃo da Marinha para navegar em lagos (prรฉ-requisito para as demais). No segundo semestre conseguiu a carteira de Mestre Amador e, finalmente, em abril de 2024, conseguiu a mais temida e difรญcil prova aplicada pela Marinha do Brasil: Capitรฃo Amador. O material de estudo para essa prova foi enorme. Vรกrios livros, apostilas, curso grรกtis no YouTube e sites pagos. Havia dias que o velho pensava que seria impossรญvel passar na prova. Coisas estudadas era rapidamente esquecida pela memรณria sexagenรกria. A grana para compra do Veleiro estava resguardada. Era sรณ esperar o momento oportuno. Entretanto, restavam, ainda duas questรตes muito importantes: arrumar uma companheira de viagem e equacionar os custos da viagem com sua pequena aposentadoria. A conclusรฃo foi que a grana seria insuficiente, principalmente quando as despesas fossem em outra moeda. Para piorar, descobriu que chegando ao Canadรก, seria muito difรญcil voltar no mesmo caminho, tendo em vista que existe uma corrente marรญtima contrรกria. O caminho de volta mais fรกcil teria que ser pela Europa e รfrica. Ou seja, gastar em euros. O visto para entrada em cada ilha ou paรญs corresponderรก a um quarto da renda, sem contar comida, รณleo diesel e manutenรงรฃo no veleiro tudo em dรณlar ou Euro. Apesar dos estudos orรงamentรกrios indicar a inviabilidade do projeto, no dia 14/10/24 o idoso mudarรก para um veleiro adquirido na cidade de Salvador. O planejamento da viagem estima dois anos de vida ao mar, cujo planejamento pode ser verificado nos dois primeiros vรญdeos do canal โVeio Doido no Marโ no YouTube. Pretende navegar pela costa brasileira, passar pelas Ilhas do Caribe, passar pelo Canadรก, Europa e รfrica. Em torno de 18 meses viajando. Quanto ร namorada, depois de convidar mais de 50 mulheres para o acompanhar na jornada, uma mulher da sua prรณpria cidade aceitou. Mas, infelizmente, faltando 3 semanas embarcar, ela desistiu.
