Fellow GFC Camper owners: I found some great, easy-to-install latch covers over on Etsy. I also squirted a bit of silicone grease down into the spring mechanism of my latches. So far, there have been no problems opening the latches in icy, cold, below-zero Canadian weather. As May comes to a close, we’d like to acknowledge the ending of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. This past month was a spotlight on a chronic illness affecting about 70,000 people worldwide. Travis Suit, founder of Piper’s Angels, discovered that saltwater benefited his daughter’s condition, inspiring the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis event. This initiative raises awareness and funds to combat the disease. Paddleboarders and kayakers will journey 80 miles from the Bahamas to Florida, raising money to help individuals afford crucial treatments.
