For the first time in history, Italy reached the America’s Cup Match with Il Moro di Venezia, representing the Compagnia della Vela di Venezia and helmed by Paul Cayard. This breakthrough placed Italy among the select nations to challenge for the Auld Mug—marking a defining moment in the country’s sailing legacy. The Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup will be defended in Naples, Italy by five-time America's Cup winner, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron represented by their team, Emirates Team New Zealand; and the British team led by Sir Ben Ainslie, Athena Racing, as the official Challenger of Record. #AmericasCup #AC38 #Naples2027 #LunaRossa #ItalianSailing #Italy #sailingcompetition
Video credit to Trey Williams (Marissa #55). Trey is a professional builder and a Seakeeper Ride installer and he sent us a video of his Marissa he was testing out with the Seakeeper Ride tabs installed. From Trey, "I was able to get some short running footage showing how well the Marissa hull works in small chop. The Marissa 18 is the best riding 18 footer I've ever been on and now with the seakeeper ride it makes it even better than before. Amazing hull design paired with technology is very impressive. Speed was about 26-27 mph."
