Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Just another day on the Reef! While conducting weekly Eye on the Reef surveys, marine biologists Dr Glen and Fern had some unexpected company as a pod of Spinner Dolphins cruised on by at Quicksilver’s Agincourt Reef pontoon! You never know what wonders you’ll encounter out here. Spinner dolphins are the most common species encountered on the Reef and are named after the aerial tricks they perform when leaping out of the water. These small dolphins will even ride the pressure wave off the bow of slow moving vessels.
