For a more personal connection and additional content consider joining the Harbors Unknown community on Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/harborsunknown If you're new here, Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog dog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our Seawind 1600 catamaran, Wanderlust, in September, 2020. We're sailing her to Harbors Unknown, to explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We're sharing our adventures as a sailing couple living on a boat and how it’s possible to live an alternative lifestyle that provides freedom and fulfillment. We have set off on our voyage sailing around the world, exploring the beautiful waters of South Florida, the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and the US East Coast. REVERSING INTO A BERTH: Singlehanded Docking Stern To with Lazy Lines [Part II] Watch as Nick, step by step reverses into a berth. This is video 8 in Nicks step by step singlehanded Docking To/With Lazy Lines =========================== Transcript Now when we go stern to in a marina like this as you can see out on the dock he's pulling up the line for us. So he's going to pull up the lazy line which extends out to our bow mooring lines. And that is what's going to hold our bow out to the water. This is why it's very hard to do this absolutely solo. Now I'm using neutral here all the time and as you can see we're not going fast. It's not a windy day. I do not need to go fast and we're done.
