Global Surveyor on her approach to Gibraltar, one of the busiest waterways in the world! Our AIS screen has been dotted with ships, and the ship traffic took our attention from the monolithic jewel of the Iberian Peninsula: Gibraltar Rock. All went well and after a challenging mooring manoeuvre, we were off to the shore to enjoy the November sunshine in one of the restaurants. The Mills 36 Custom - Prime Suspect - IRL 5991 beating to windward on the way to the finish line in the Harbour Race of Volvo Cork Week 2024. The Team on J109 Going to Red were a little surprised to be so close to this downwind flier towards the back end of the Harbour race. They look like they needed some more bodies on the rail and a bit more mast bend to flatten out the main.
