Split is the second-largest city in Croatia and the largest one on the Dalmatian coast, so it stands to reason that you will have a blast when visiting. This historic city dates back some 1,700 years, with Diocletian's Palace sitting at the centre of its history and Old Town. This impressive waterfront city is the perfect starting point for all your adventures along the coast, however it is also well worth some dedicated time to explore all the city has to offer.
