Almost every town in Croatia features a beautiful and historically significant Old Town. Get lost in the cobbled streets, hidden alleyways, and narrow streets of these fascinating locations as you discover all the wonderful Old Towns of Croatia. Thanks to Roman, Venetian and Gothic influences over the years, Croatia boasts an impressive display of architecture and mesmerizing Old World Charm. Below you'll find our favourite Old Town destinations: 1. Dubrovnik Old Town - this Old Town is famous for its polished marbled streets, fortified City Walls, and impressive architecture. Walk along the main street, or 'Stradun' and discover Croatia as it once was. 2. Zadar Old Town - today Zadar is a youthful, cosmopolitan city with a rich and interesting history, however as the former Captial City of Dalmatia, Zadar's Old Town is brimming with history and culture that's just waiting to be explored. 3. Sibenik Old Town - well known as the first town to be founded by the Croatian people, Sibenik Old Town features the impressive St. James cathedral that has UNESCO World Heritage protection. Get lost in the maze of cobbled streets or climb the cathedral for views out over the sea. 4. Hvar Old Town - this bustling town has the largest Town Square in all of Dalmatia and features a maze of cobbled alleyways, narrow streets, and authentic Dalmatian restaurants. The Spanjola Fortress towers over the town of Hvar and provides impressive views. 5. Split Old Town - Diocletian's Palace forms the basis of the Old Town in Split, and was built some 1,700 years ago between the 3rd and 4th Centuries. As one of the best-preserved examples of Roman architecture, Diocletian's Palace is a must for exploring Croatian old-world charm. 6. Korcula Old Town - Korcula's fortified Old Town features bell towers, turrets, winding streets, and an eclectic mix of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. As the rumoured birthplace of Marco Polo, Korcula Old Town has a mysterious and energetic vibe. For one of the biggest festivals in Europe, you can't look past the world-famous electronic fiesta, Ultra Music Festival! The Ultra Music Festival Cruise includes all of the best parts of a traditional Navigator Cruise, and stays in Split for the first two day to take in the iconic Ultra Music Festival Cruise! For a taste of what to expect and the destinations you'll visit on this 7-day party cruise, check out our sample itinerary below: Day 1 Split: Check-in on the boat in Split harbour, Saturday from 10:30. We'll have lunch onboard and hear a welcome speech from our representative from 1pm. Day 2 Split: The ship will depart from Split after breakfast and sail across to a nearby island for swimming and boat party! Lunch will be served onboard before we return to Split to allow you to take in the final night of the Ultra Music Festival Day 3 Makarska: Next stop is Makarska, a seaside town nestled under the highest seaside peak in the Mediterranean, Mt Jure. For nightlife options, there is the cocktail bar Marineta and for late night takers there is the infamous club "Deep" a natural cave next to the sea which rocks into the wee hours. Day 4 Stari Grad: We sail to the island of Hvar on Tuesday morning. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic. We will moor up in the port of Stari Grad. Situated on the northern side of the island, Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia and boasts an attractive network of old narrow streets and small squares around the harbour. Day 5 Vis: Vis is one of the most outer islands on the Dalmatian coast. Vis has been used over the centuries as a strategic military port and saw action through WWII against Italy and the Germans. It has only recently been open to commercial tourism and still retains a lot of its charm. Day 6 Hvar: From Vis, we head towards Hvar Town. Famous for its super-yachts and celebrity status. Climb the hill to explore the 16th-century fort ruins overlooking the harbour, before checking out the famous Hvar nightlife, with clubs such as Carpe Diem and Nautica Bar. Day 7 Split: From Hvar, we sail back to Split for the last night. Enjoy the view of the Split Riviera as we arrive into Split late afternoon. Split is a city under UNESCO protection that belongs not only to Croatians, but also to you, as it is a part of its World Heritage status. Day 8 Split: Early breakfast and time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Disembark from the boat at 9am.
