Ahoy! Sailing bliss or disaster? We're leaving the Eagle Point marinara a raw sail downwind to our marina in Lake Dallas. Cyndi and I have come this far to try our hand at a downwind wing-on-wing sail plan, after an easterly beam reach, then a westwardly sail. We had a great time practicing the training run and the down-wind sail setup. We leave our old friend, Sneaky Pete's Grill, and Eagle Point Marina behind and press forward, sailing back to Lake Dallas in our Catalina C-30 Tall Rig sailboat named Zanadu! Runter geht’s – aber ohne den kniffligen Abschnitt! Nach der entspannten Fahrt mit dem Sessellift in Boppard ging’s für uns zu Fuß bergab – mit traumhaften Ausblicken auf den Rhein. Ein Teilstück des RheinBurgenWegs wäre über den Klettersteig gegangen – der ist aber nur was für Geübte mit Schwindelfreiheit.
