One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Lots and lots of car bog and lots of sanding to round the edges to make the fiberglass stick. So here we go, obviously the first batch of bog I mixed up went hard straight away and I only used maybe half of it. I totally underestimated how quick that stuff goes off... Small batches it is :) I am still a bit nervous when I think about the fiberglassing, I have never done it and I really want to do a good job, I want it to neat!
