Today Poppy learns the way of planting a variety of yams that will later be remembered as 'Poppy's yams', signifying not only the day that a yachtie came to learn, but also get her hands dirty and help the local community. This act of unity is why these villagers have been able to thrive off growing their own food for so many generations.
