Seacocks are bronze valves in a boat and are used as a safety measure for closing off holes below the water line and keeping water out of the boat for either maintenance or emergencies. We have 4 total on Seawind, and one of them has been giving us trouble for the past couple of years. I cleaned and greased this particular seacock, and ever since, it’s seeped a bit of water into the boat. Having sailed on the Wherry Maud myself, I thought why not run a CSSC trip and I got to meet all these lovely people. A wonderful day out. Highly recommended.
