A lovely example is in this video of a Merry Fisher inboard weekend cruiser. She is shaft driven tunning a single three-blade propellor. The inboard diesel boats were phased out replaced by outboard motor versions. Although the outboard version was a totally different hull shape, faster and quieter the inboard boat still has a great following on the used boat market. We sail from Kekova to Kas in Turkey this morning, we leave early to catch some favourable wind and are treated to a beautiful sunrise 😍 and we finally have a sunny day! Unfortunately no wind in the end though so we end up motoring the whole way, plus our autopilot is currently broken so we hand steered today, but none the less we’ve had a beautiful day around Kas
