Dear Salty Sailor, Fresh water is one of the most precious resources we carry on our sailboat, and access to it can be critical in remote locations. We decided to install a water maker to ‘produce’ our own fresh water, and we couldn’t be happier. Of course, it gave us some challenges (what part of the boat doesn’t, right? xD), but overall, it’s been a huge win. You can check out the entire installation process on our channel. Two months of living on my beautiful yet stressful 39 ft floating home. This isn’t ‘every goal I have,’ but I can absolutely say it’s been my NUMBER ONE goal for 4 entire years… And every day in those 4 years I always thought it would never happen. There was too much that could go wrong. Too much at stake. Too many variables. Things got pushed back over and over again, but the goal was still the same.
