Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! Daily Update for February 5, 2010. Lots going on. Last bit of graphic work on Harvey's locker bed, Jordan's horizontal murphy bed should be have the finish applied, Lloyeds pre-cut may be sprayed black, I'll start on Scholten's Ross murphy bed w/boockases.
