New Excess Model! ▫️ One of the big announcements at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival was from @EXCESSCatamarans who announced a new addition to their range of sailing yachts in 2024. The new catamaran will slot in between the Excess 11 and Excess 14. ▫️ Helping them on the next stage of the brand's journey will be Lombard Design (MLYDG) – in charge of the naval architecture and Jean Marc Piaton who will design the interiors. ▫️ We are looking forward to seeing the design in more detail in early 2024! As always, if you have ideas, don't be shy: head over and share them. Just search "Excess Lab". ▫️ More details ar https://kats.co/XSN ▫️ #design #newyacht #multihulls

SAILING GENTLY has around 90 videos from French Canal Routes to the Mediterranean with the companion book having sold over 6,000 copies and the Atlantic Crossing Guide video that has had some 362 thousand views. The Gentle Sailing Route to the Mediterranean has had around 50 thousand views and the book has sold almost 4,000 copies. Closer to home there are a series of pilotage videos about how to sail into almost all the French channel ports from CHERBOURG TO BOULOGNE SUR MER including Le Havre and Fécamp as well as St Vaast, Dieppe and Grandecamp Maisy and lots more. There are also pilotage videos of UK marinas from Eastbourne to Dartmouth and Alderney and then videos about wind vanes and autopilots. My boat is now based in the Caribbean so there are videos about putting her on a ship and the costs involved, as well as which are the best Caribbean Islands and marina costs. You might find 'Attacked by Pirates' in the Gulf of Aden - interesting!

"One thing that has really shone through this year, is the resilience of our members. Our junior members have been out on the water enjoying the freedom of sailing. Watching them, I know that the future of sailing is in safe hands." Colin Moorhead, Royal Cork Yacht Club Admiral #activeonthewater #strategy2020

Another one of Trinidad's beautiful jungle waterfall systems, Blue Basin is only 25 minutes away from the boatyard where our Leopard 45 catamaran is undergoing repairs. The stunning natural environment, clear blue waters and little cliff jumping points make it another incredible place to go when we want to escape the yacht and recharge our minds.
