The ➰ Snuggle Hitch is super-charged Clove Hitch that is stronger and more secure. Use it for attaching a line to a spar or rope. It works for both lengthways and right-angled pulls. Easy to release and only seconds longer to tie than the Clove. 🔸 Wrap the line around and bring the working end across diagonally from right to left over the standing part. 🔸 Lead the working end back over & lead it up behind, over diagonally from left to right. Toni and I headed to “Moments in Time” to raise and furl the screecher sail but the pouring rain caused by Ernesto out in the Atlantic delayed our arrival. Since the breeze was too much to raise and furl a large sail, we decided to rig the flag halyards off the port and starboard spreaders. At least we got something checked off our “to do” list.
