Moments of sunshine and stillness from a catamaran cruise through the southern Dalmatian islands in Croatia, May 2021. We were scouting a new route for an upcoming PAPA Regatta — and it turned out to be the perfect escape after a long COVID lockdown. Warm spring air, that feeling of summer just around the corner. It was the best possible way to spend the May holidays. And it was still a time when Russian and Ukrainian flags could fly side by side at the stern — united by a shared love for the sea. Marta jumped into the Snipe in 2008 to sail the Snipe Women's Worlds in Spain. She likes sailing Snipes because the boat is so technical -- there are lots of adjustments you can make to the rig to get the boat going its fastest. Sailing the Snipe also requires physical preparation. It's just one part of staying healthy by doing things that are fun.
