Founded in 2000 in Marans (near La Rochelle, France), the Aventura Catamarans brand was created by Eric Roger and his son Romain following the takeover of Go Marine, which manufactured small sport catamarans. The opportunity to take over the Camping Cat molds kick-started the adventure: the Aventura 23 (later the 23.5) was launched. The process continued with the Aventura 28, taken from the Diabolo molds, then the Aventura 36, similar to the Edel 36. STGI launched their first "real" models with the Aventura 33, followed by the 43 and 20, and set up in Tunisia in 2005 - in Tazarka, south-east of Tunis. 10 years later, Samer Lasta took over the design of the new models from the 34 onwards, and the yard moved to Menzel Bourghiba near Bizerte in 2015. It was this four-acre (16,000 m²) covered site, with its 300 employees, that we got the chance to visit. Here, in a former French Navy arsenal, they launched the 44, then the 37 and most recently the 45 in its sailing range. Powercats made their appearance with the A10, followed by the A14, which quickly became the Aventura 50 MY and was soon available in a 56-foot version. The weekender market was not to be outdone, with the launch of the Aventura 38 SC, which came in 4 versions. Today, STGI offers 4 models with an annual production of 50 units per year. ? Quasi 3 mesi fa abbiamo chiuso per l'ultima volta la porta di casa nostra, la prima casa in cui abbiamo vissuto insieme per 3 magnifici anni. A 3 mesi dal trasloco, com'è cambiata la nostra vita? IL SONNO Non so perché, ma in barca riposiamo meglio. È così. Alle 7 ci svegliamo, con un'ora di anticipo sulla sveglia, freschi e riposati. LE PAUSE Ogni momento libero è dedicato a preparare la barca per la traversata oceanica. Ce n'è per tutti: dissalatore, winch, pompa del frigo, ordine nei gavoni, manutenzione dei candelieri, etc etc etc Stavo leggendo un libro sul linguaggio e sulle metafore, ma è tutto in pausa, al secondo posto rispetto ai lavori.
