The pirates had bases on various islands and the mainland, from where they launched their attacks. They used fast and maneuverable ships, armed with cannons and other weapons, to overpower their targets. Once they captured a ship, they would loot its cargo, including money, precious metals, and slaves. After catching the fish, Ira (ee-ra) wasn't interested in filleting it, so I did that part. I had her at least take out the remains and throw them in the water to bring her into the process a bit. Maybe next time she'll do the filleting as well.
