Sailing Ibiza to Mallorca | Palma Cathedral, Sail Repairs & Stormy Anchorages - Episode 7 Thanks for joining our tiny adventure ⛵️ 🧡 https://youtu.be/gwGwf-1tIb0?si=bTGZZVVA3LvtczhD In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey. From scenic anchorages along Mallorca’s rugged north coast, to hiding out in a marina during a passing mistral storm, this leg of our journey is filled with beauty, challenge, and rhythm of life at sea. 👉 Next up: Menorca – raw, wild, and deeply peaceful. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow our journey as we sail sacred seas! 👍🏼👌🏼 Thanks for your support ❤️ Link in bio or search YouTube for ‘Sailing Sacred Seas’ – let’s set sail together! ⚓💙 We hope that you will follow us on insta, Facebook and YouTube - SAILING SACRED SEAS #sailing #yacht #cruiser #sailingboat #travel #wanderlust #nature #adventure #boatlife #lagoon440 #lagooncatamaran #sailingyoutube #catamaran #mallorca
Caribbean Sailing During Hurricane Season! ⛵️⛈️🌤️ Sailing in the Caribbean during hurricane season means dealing with more frequent squalls compared to the dry season. The weather becomes inconsistent and even if the forecast looks good, you might encounter squalls on longer passages, with quite big waves in the acceleration zones between the islands. Pick the right weather window, these squalls are usually brief. Reef early and relax—sunshine will return in a few minutes. Sometimes though, tropical waves bring bad weather for a longer period of time. In those cases, it’s best to find a safe anchorage and wait it out. Weather planning is crucial during this season. Cheers guys, stay safe! ⛵️⛈️☀️ #weather #hurricaneseason #squall . #storm #sailing #badweather #bigwaves #ocean #offshoresailing #oceanwaves #sailorgirl #caribbeansailing #adventure #digitalnomad #nomadiclife #womenwhosail #nautical
