Race 2 of the Quoile Yacht Club springs series followed shortly after Race 1, the sun finally burnt of the morning fog to deliver a fantastic afternoon for racing. The two J109's GTR and Jammie Dogger were only meters apart as the lined up for a downwind start out of the head of the Quoile river. Jammie Dogger had windward position on the line but GTR managed to put their kite first while enabled to shoot out from the leeward position, getting to the increasing breeze first which allowed them to stretch out an early lead on the way to Mark 3. Going to Red was setup perfectly on the long beat to Mark 11 with the Jib angle in tight she raced fast and high on the flat water. After winning the second start in a row they did not look back, increasing they lead at every mark to take race 2 of the QYC spring series. Första natten med både storsegel och försegel uppe. Kolsvart omkring oss, 10 m/s i vinden och båten gör 7–7,5 knop genom natten. Vi ser knappt seglen, men vi flyger fram. Mitt i mörkret får vi syn på en annan båt och påminns om att vi inte är helt ensamma där ute. Nattpasset går fort när farten är hög och plötsligt är det morgon och dags att väcka besättningen för frukost.
