YT-Episode 8 - It’s not all sunsets 🌅 and fair winds 🌬️ We were lucky enough to find the last place in a marina as a Mistral storm came down from France and across the Balearic Islands/Sardinia. 65 knots (74 mph) of wind was reported by those out at Sea. We saw 45 knots (51 mph) on the North East coast of Mallorca. Being moored up in a marina we were relatively comfortable and very thankful to have not been at anchor or on the water. We had 6 lines on, snapped one line and will probably have to replace a couple of others due to chaffing on the rusted bollards, but we are all safe and sound. Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Außerdem müssen wir noch lernen richtig zu segeln. Du kannst dich also schon auf die nächsten Videos freuen!
