Hi!👋🏻 We're Ed & Paige. We met in 2011, and in 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father (I got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻). Following his return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. After nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. We've decided to spend the next few years dedicating ourselves to travel and adventure while living aboard our 37 foot home, Sea Pearl. Kythira is an island that belongs to the Ionian Islands but is geographically located south of the Peloponnese and Crete, at the entrance to the Aegean Sea. This strategic position has historically made Kythira an important maritime hub. Over the centuries, the island has been influenced by various cultures, including the Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman civilizations. Kythira is known for its unspoiled nature, picturesque villages, Venetian castles, and stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters. We have moored at the quay of Kapsali Bay, which features a beautiful sandy beach and the characteristic white-and-blue houses of Greece. Here, I recorded a video overlooking the bay, with our catamaran as the only vessel in the bay.
