BIGOUDEN, 2007 Discovery 55 Sailing Video The Ron Holland-designed Discovery 55 sets a high benchmark for the luxury, push button cruising yacht category. The interior layout is brilliant with a raised dinette, pilot station, large passageway galley, full beam aft owner’s stateroom, bunk room, and VIP guest stateroom. Interior design details are by the renowned mega yacht stylist Ken Freivokh. The light maple interior and large saloon windows make the interior bright and airy. A walk-in engine room allows superb machinery access. BIGOUDEN is hull no.19 of this Discovery 55 series. She was launched in 2007 and spent most of her life in the eastern Mediterranean with light seasonal use and on-land storage until November of 2017 when she participated in the ARC rally ending up in the Caribbean. From there she continued up the east coast to Newport, Rhode Island, where she had cruised summers while being professionally maintained indoors at Bristol Marine in Somerset, Massachusetts. Her condition is therefore excellent when compared to sisterships that have circumnavigated as is their wont and capability. She has never been chartered and has always received the best of care. Electronics were updated with a full suite of the latest Raymarine Hybrid Touch displays. She has recently been bottom-painted and is ready for cruising in New England or beyond. Safety systems are in place to warn the crew of potential issues. The router can detect these issues and it's best to tell the crew early. It's better to be prepared. #safety #router #crew #sailing

Growing up sailing, Floridian David Phillips always had a penchant for Hinckleys. “I grew up sailing as a small child and sailed all the way through college. Hinckley was the penultimate sailboat. And while they don’t make sailboats anymore, every time I saw a Hinckley, I immediately knew the quality.” Fast-forward to 2021, and quality time became the reason he and his wife, Tracy, decided to buy a Hinckley Sport Boat 40 X. The goal? To spend more family time on the water, away from distractions, and to explore their favorite boating locale, the Bahamas. “I got an email about an outboard model, which felt like a dream come true, as it’s such a well-built boat,” Phillips says. “We didn't want to get into boating without being on an outboard. We took a test ride in one, and as soon as our feet touched the deck, we knew we were going to love it.” See link in bio for the full story and get Phillips’ cliff notes to the ultimate exploration of Exuma, Harbour Island, and Abaco islands! Where have we been? We've been spending 100% of our time creating SSL Season 7 for YOU, and this is our new channel trailer for it! It starts in Colombia before we set sail for the absolute spectacle of islands known as the San Blas Islands of Panama, then we make several stops along the Panama coast, including a stop at the Panama Canal and Panama City where we put our feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time! From there we take you on a ride to the remote islands of San Andres and Providencia in the middle of the Caribbean Sea which are owned by Colombia, before sailing through the pirate waters of Nicaragua to make landfall at another tiny island paradise north of Honduras! Extra stops at Roatan, Utila, and Belize are all on the horizon in SSL Season 7... If you haven't yet subscribed, what are YOU waiting for? NOW IS THE TIME!
