#katknots The Clove Hitch versus the 🥨 Ground-Line Hitch. Which is your favourite? Both are great for tying fenders to guardrails, the Ground-line is a little more secure, but there's not much in it. 🔸 For both, wind the rope around the rail and cross over diagonally. There is a slight difference where you tuck the working end between the hitches. 🔸 Both knots are easy when you get the hang of them. Toni and I headed to “Moments in Time” to raise and furl the screecher sail but the pouring rain caused by Ernesto out in the Atlantic delayed our arrival. Since the breeze was too much to raise and furl a large sail, we decided to rig the flag halyards off the port and starboard spreaders. At least we got something checked off our “to do” list.
