We are very excited to reveal our big project. San Diego’s first fully electric charter sailboat! ⛵️🔋 In this most recent refit of our Catalina 400, Bree Zen, we replaced the old Westerbeke diesel engine with a state-of-the-art electric motor. By replacing a diesel engine with an electric one, motoring in and out of the harbor is now a completely smooth and silent process. With no exhaust or diesel fumes, and no pollutants going into the water. 🌊 To support our new electric motor, we’ve integrated four 48-volt lithium batteries from Dakota Lithium. Thanks to Dakota Lithium and Electric Yachts - they’ve helped us take our sailing experiences to a whole new level! ⚡️⚡️ Our transition from diesel to electric power is part of our ongoing efforts to explore new innovations and products, and offer even more eco-friendly sailing experiences. After being left to rot in Dublin Bay Jabberwocky was in a very sorry state. Once out of the water we could see how bad things where with half the the gelcoat on the bottom of the yacht disappearing as the power hose removed the build up of marine life from the bottom of the boat. After a quick delivery trip up the east coast of Ireland Jabberwocky sat in idle for a couple of year before the team at Bottom Up Boats acquired with a plan to bring her back to her former glory. After stripping her back to bare fibreglass the team meticulously repaired and restored every inch of this Mumm 36. Siamo arrivati all’ultimo giorno qui. Domattina torniamo da Julia. Qui chiudiamo col botto: concerto rock al chiringuito! Una festa spaziale a cui ha fatto proprio piacere essere presenti😊 Questa settimana rimolleremo gli ormeggi e andremo verso est. Ma avremo modo di viverlo insieme nei prossimi giorni!
