North-powered Olympian @nikolepbarnes and former ILCA champion @squires_sailing have already claimed the 2025 470 North American title and they're only just getting started. With the 470 class heading into LA 2028, these two are showing exactly why it remains one of the most technical, relentless boats in Olympic sailing. LA 2028: They're coming!@northsails

Ever wondered what’s hidden beneath the floorboards of a sailboat? 🤔 In this episode, we’re stepping just ahead of the saloon into the guest area of Vela. Beneath your feet lies a network of essential systems that keep life on board running smoothly: 🔹 Thru-hulls: - One for discharging the holding tank. - A water intake for the toilet and our new washdown pump. 🔹 Shower drain pump: - Pumps out the water from your onboard shower, keeping things dry. 🚿 🔹 Depth and speed transducers: - Telling us how fast we’re going and how deep the waters are. 🌊 🔹 Forward-looking sonar: - A lifesaver for spotting shallow waters ahead, helping us navigate safely into hidden coves and anchorages. 🛟 It’s amazing how many essential systems are tucked away down here. Had you imagined that so many of the things we use daily are hidden beneath the floorboards? 🌍 🎵 Music by Sergio Prosvirini from Pixabay #YouTubeShorts #Explore #TravelVlog #Vloggers #DailyLife #ChristmasCalendar #Vlogmas #ChristmasOnBoard #Beneteau44cc #Sailing #Liveaboard #lifeatsea

In this final episode of our incredible motorcycle journey through Northern Norway and Sweden, we begin in Bodø and head south, closing the loop on an unforgettable adventure. We visit the, Saltstraumen, the world’s strongest tidal current and send the drone up for some great aerial views of this natural phenomenon. From a distance, we spot the Svartisen glacier (which is actually two glaciers) before crossing the Arctic Circle one last time — this time by ferry. As we return to Sweden we wild camp near a Sámi seasonal settlement, visit the beautiful Trappstegsforsen and send up the drone again, and continue along the unforgettable Vildmarksvägen/The Wilderness Road, stop at historic Fatmomakke and get an areal shot with the drone, and continue to the windswept Stekenjokk Plateau which is partly closed in the winter due to lots, lots of snow. After this we take some days in the cabin for Jeanette to get better from her stomach bug and then finally we head home and make a summary of all the kilometers and days spend on the road! #MotorcycleAdventure #BMWGSA1250 #ArcticRide
