A couple of weeks ago, I took a crew of six from Grenada to St Martin on a Passage Experience. Now that I'm in St Martin, it's time to start our Sailing Lifestyle Experiences. We teach people what the sailing cruising life is like - how to sail, what it's like to own and operate a bluewater cruiser, and what to expect when living the sailing dream. Come join me this season! Visit https://SailingBritican.com?utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=simplified&utm_content=simplified1c8ba for all the details. #sailingexperience #short
2.6 BILLION gallons of water evaporate from the Great Salt Lake every day. Because the lake is a relatively flat basin, this has a huge impact on the lake's surface area AND the weather. FOLLOW to see it NOW: https://www.youtube.com/lyfeuntethered?sub_confirmation=1 The three rivers feeding the Great Salt Lake it aren't replenishing the water fast enough so the shoreline is receding rapidly. If no action is taken, The Great Salt Lake Will DISAPPEAR in 5 Years. This could have a devastating impact on the local ecosystem and the $2.5 billion in annual revenue the lake helps generate for Utah. #shorts #travel #climatechange https://youtube.com/shorts/K5vJ-n1vYvk
This is definitely the Calm Before the Storm! We made our way to Marsh Harbour early this morning to hopefully find a good anchorage in anticipation of the weekend's big blow. Forecasted to be in upwards of 60kn, it's at least 20kn more than we've experienced. That's a LOT OF WIND! Suffice it to say, Marsh Harbour wasn't vacant. We were able to find, what we hope to be, a nice hole between some sailboats. To our aft are the folks from Sailing Zephyr...very cool. Anyways, we're confident in our ground tackle but you always have to worry about other boats dragging. Our anchor is a Spade 160 and is oversized for our boat...that said, if there's an abrupt wind shift of 180º, all anchors will have to reset themselves. This is definitely the Calm Before the Storm
