Meet the Guardians of St. Maarten ✨ More than statues, they tell the story of our island’s culture, history, and spirit. ⚓ Lewis, the Taino warrior, stands guard at the marina. 💃 Evita dances the Ponum. 📯 Miguel blows the conch to welcome you. These blue statues of St. Maarten are part of the Under SXM underwater diving project, with extra pieces placed around the island so everyone can meet them. From the boardwalk in Philipsburg to Bobby's Marina, each one carries a piece of history. When you visit St. Maarten, you don’t just see the island... You meet its guardians! 🌊 👉 Want to sail with us and experience St. Maarten from the sea? I saw this technique used in one of the Sailrite videos where the person sewing was asssembling several identical pieces. They used one long strip of basting tape to create the seam on all the pieces, then fed all the pieces through the machine almost as if it was one piece. This is a REAL timesaver!! I intended to include all of this in the "Sewing the Sail Pack" video but somehow forgot. Rather than re-edit the ENTIRE video, I thought I'd give YouTue Shorts a try!
