Giorno 48 - Traversata dalle Baleari alla costa spagnola. La navigazione comincia nel classico stile “vacanza estiva”: sole, mare piatto e poco vento. Scendiamo lungo la costa nord di Maiorca, procedendo verso ovest. Entra un po’ di vento, sul naso. Non proprio quello che speravamo Con un po’ di ritardo sulla tabella di marcia, iniziamo a fare valutazioni su tappe, alternative possibili e meteo. Le miglia totali previste sono più di 200, farle con mare e vento contro non è sostenibile. Ipotesi di una sosta a Palma scartata sul nascere: quando raggiungiamo il suo traverso, il vento gira di qualche grado e ci permette di andare a vela. Una bolina stretta, vento teso a 24/25 nodi e un’onda spezzata di prua che fa battere la pancia di Julia sull’acqua frenando la sua corsa lanciata.
