Now that we’re back in our home port of Solomons, we’ve lowered her into the water and given her a good workout in Back and Mill Creeks before treating her to a well‑deserved rinse. Global Surveyor on her approach to Gibraltar, one of the busiest waterways in the world! Our AIS screen has been dotted with ships, and the ship traffic took our attention from the monolithic jewel of the Iberian Peninsula: Gibraltar Rock. All went well and after a challenging mooring manoeuvre, we were off to the shore to enjoy the November sunshine in one of the restaurants. With excellent flight connection, Gibraltar is a must see not only for sailors but also nature and history lovers. @gowestsailing
