Our #sailing adventure in #newyork was a unique and challenging experience. Aside from being a bustling #harbour with much marine traffic, the harbour is affected by tidal currents—two floods and two ebbs every day. Learning the current patterns to plan your sail into the harbour is essential, especially if you want to sail up the East River and into the Long Island Sound. Like what you see? Watch the FULL VIDEO on our channel 😀 After being in storage for months on end we were finally able to launch our catamaran tender thanks to some help from a kind Trinidadian local. We've experienced many instances of the Trinidadian generosity of spirit while here, and hope to showcase that during our time in Trinidad, as well as pay the kindness back and forward. While our initial plan was to go DDI, or Down De Islands, we ended up hopping up the Trinidad coastline ending up in Scotland Bay. Scotland Bay is generally only accessible by water and is hugely popular for Trinidadians looking to swim, lime and hang out with friends by the water.
