This week we skipped our weekly video as we have been busy with home renovations and simply lack of sailing. However, we never miss an opportunity to embrace natures beauty, this time in the form of a common dolphin family swimming by our anchorage. Two of the four adults had younglings with them, who they seem to be teaching. Pretty cool to spot them by your front door ! Nature is awesome and nature needs us as much as we need it ! Perhaps modern technology will and already is able to show us the incredible similarities we all share, the complex social behaviours and interactions, the meaning of family and so much more :) Ps. 🪂 Pourquoi le skysurf a disparu des compétitions ? Ce short montre un saut d’entraînement avec Jeff (mon vidéoman) quand nous etions jeunes 😜 Le skysurf, mélange de surf et de chute libre, était une discipline spectaculaire… mais trop peu pratiquée. Vers 2007, la discipline a été retirée des compétitions officielles. Manque de participants, risques physiques élevés, désintérêt des sponsors, et difficultés à juger équitablement les vidéos ont eu raison de ce sport hors norme.
