Darf ich euch unsere wunderschöne Haehaa vorstellen? 🥹🥰 Sie ist eine Pahi 42/Captain Cook - ein 1980 entwickeltes Design von James Wharram. Orientiert wurde sich beim Baustil an den polynesischen Doppelkanus. Also was könnte besser zu ihr passen als ein polynesischer Name? 🥰 "Haehaa" heißt übersetzt so viel wie Bescheidenheit/ Demut und so haben wir diesen wunderschönen Namen gern übernommen, auch als stetige Erinnerung daran, wie wir mit diesem Boot reisen und durchs Leben gehen wollen. ❤️ Haehaa ist 12,80m lang, 6,70m breit und hat einen Tiefgang von 0,80m. Sie ist ein Eigenbau aus Sperrholz und Epoxy und wurde im Jahr 2000 fertiggestellt. #katknots 🥨 Rolling Hitch. We haven't done any knots for a while, and we think this one is an essential one to have in your locker. This knot hitches a new line to an existing line (or chain). ▫️ You can use it to take the load off a jammed winch (normally the jib or Code 0 sheet). Or it comes in handy for making an adjustable bridle, if the swell and wind are coming from different directions. ▫️ Tie the first half hitch in the direction of the load (eg towards the sail or anchor). Then go round the standing end, come over again and tuck through the gap. The trick is to keep wrapping in the same direction, towards the load. ▫️ You should be able to see a dog leg or link in the original line and be able to slide the knot forward towards the load. It shouldn't budge pulling in the opposite direction. ▫️ You can tie this with one less wrap or "roll", it will depend on what size your lines are and what type of material the rope is made out of.
