West Highland Yacht Week 2023 gave the team at Bottom Up Boats a story to tell in the bar which you could never imagine.. As the J109 Going To Red was coming into the bottom mark for the second time they had to put the bow done to avoid a dog that had jumped off the bow of the boat in front. I must admit that I would never have expected to have to worry about dodging dogs at the bottom mark of a yacht race. I guess you should never say never when you are out and about on the race course. This anchor works amazingly well in rock type reefs. Made from Rebar welded together in typical New Zealand type innovation. The chain is tie-wrap clipped to the fluke head. If the anchor gets stuck you just pull hard enough to break the tie-wrap and then the chain pulls the anchor out backwards. #anchor #powerboat #powerboating
