The goal is not to stay young. It is to remain engaged with life. Curious. Connected. Active. Participating in the world around you. A small Field Note from island life in Japan. About me: I’m Lowell Sheppard, 71, sailor, author, and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. I’m the Founder of the Never Too Late Academy and Special Advisor to the International Forum. Through Japan Solo Field Notes, I explore longevity, community, and what it means to live well at every stage of life. https://www.nevertoolateacademy.com/post/is-japan-producing-its-last-cohort-of-super-agers #Longevity #Aging #JapanSolo #HealthyAging #LifeLessons #Purpose #Japan #Community #Mindset #AgingWell
With the fleet now only hours away, our Race Directors Ryan and Matt give us a quick update with the King Island Boat Club as their backdrop. The first boats are on the leeward side of King island and should arrive around 7pm. It's going to be busy then between midnight and 2am when it's expected the bulk of the fleet will arrive in time for the famous King Island steak sandwich.
🐵⛵ “Things got knotty real fast!” Anchored near a peaceful island, the crew didn’t expect a surprise visitor. A playful monkey swings aboard, grabs the ropes, and turns the deck into a jungle gym! Sailor freaks out, monkey has a blast — 8 seconds of hilarious chaos! 😂🌴 #MonkeyOnBoard #CatamaranChaos #SailingSurprise #TropicalTrouble #FunnyAtSea #UnexpectedCrew #SailorStruggles #IslandLifeGoneWild #MonkeyMadness #WildOceanMoments
