𝙉𝙤 𝙒𝙞𝙛𝙞 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙚, 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 After a week at the sandy white Princess Diana’s beach, we sailed to anchorage outside Codrington Lagoon, Barbuda. We needed to get data, so we had to take the dinghy across the sandbar into the lagoon - The waves were big and breaking….check out the video. In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck.
