We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. #limelight #sailingtheworld #caution Be careful at the dock in Alofi, Niue. This is a quay in the South Pacific where there is no tying up. You must get lifted out if you want to visit the island by boat. You cannot anchor out. They have 15 mooring balls available. $30 NZ per day. They can accommodate vessels up to 52 feet. if your vessel is larger than that, you can request a double block. Even your dinghy needs to be lifted out when going ashore. You can contact the Niue Yacht Club to reserve a mooring ball. +683 4224 Email: info.center@gov.nu All the local fishermen, dive groups, whale watching boats etc. all get lifted in & out each time.
