David Payne of the Australian National Maritime Museum gives us a little inspiration for the Australian Sailing Hall of Fame with a look at Barrenjoey, the 5.5M yacht which was sailed to Olympic glory in 1964. Grandfather Bill Northam and crew Peter “Pod” O’Donnell and James Sergeant, won Australia’s first Olympic sailing Gold medal in Tokyo in this beautiful boat which was designed in the US but built in Australia. Ich hatte die Inbus/Innensechskant Schraube an einer fast unerreichbaren Stelle komplett rundgedreht und war schon dabei, den Bohrer anzusetzen. Dann kam Franks rettende Idee: Einfach einen Torx-Bit mit leichten Hammerschlägen in den ausgenudelten Innensechskant klopfen und mit der Knarre herausdrehen. In Sekunden war die Schraube draußen, wo ich mit Bohren stundenlang geflucht hätte. Manchmal ist der einfachste Trick der beste! #Segelyacht #segeln #bootsreparatur
