I'm putting together a series of one minute short films, whilst I work on a bigger project on my local foxes. This first one minute short is about my local moor and a lovely young Roe Deer. Goss Moor is the largest remaining area of mid-Cornwall moorland and is a National Nature Reserve with a multi-use trail. The mostly flat valley basin is the source of the River Fal. A designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation, the reserve is home to many rare species including Cornish Moneywort, yellow Centaury, Cornish Pillwort, marsh Clubmoss, small red damselfly, variable damselfly and the marsh Fritillary butterfly.

Rose is learning to help out around the yacht, one job at a time! She started hovering at the top of the ladder whenever I was trying to get out so I’ve started passing her gear from the water so she can carefully grab it and set it down on the transom. She’s still figuring it out (some bites are better than others 😂), but the goal is to have her drop everything on the deck or in a bucket, maybe even working up to doing it on the tender too! Until then, she’s still earning her keep as first mate, head of security and our onboard wellness coach. Prefer to support the channel as a 1-off?
