Boaters can take several steps to deal with Sargasso seaweed: 1. Avoid areas with large concentrations of Sargasso seaweed: Boaters can use satellite imagery and other resources to identify areas with high concentrations of seaweed and avoid them if possible. 2. Slow down and be cautious: Sargasso seaweed can be thick and difficult to navigate through, so boaters should slow down and proceed with caution when encountering it. 3. Clear the seaweed from the boat: Boaters can use a net or rake to remove seaweed from the boat, being careful not to damage the boat or the seaweed. 4. Check the engine and cooling system: Sargasso seaweed can clog the engine and cooling system, so boaters should check them regularly and clean them if necessary. 5. Dispose of the seaweed properly: Boaters should dispose of the seaweed properly, either by composting it or disposing of it in a designated area. They should not throw it back into the water, as this can spread the seaweed to other areas. The M9 electric powercat - built in St Malo, Brittany, then assembled and completed in Caen, on France's Channel coast - made its public debut in the Mediterranean. But what's so special about this new model? Its two-sided solar-powered wings, that unfold when under way: the photovoltaic cells facing the sea thus capture the sun's reflection from the surface of the water. In total, the solar installation is capable of producing 6 kWp, a considerable figure for a catamaran just over 30 feet in length. At 6 knots, range is unlimited - during the day, weather permitting. The second remarkable technological innovation is the car-like control interface. The on-board computer controls all the settings and manages the virtual anchor system: the motors are connected to the GPS position to "hold" the boat without the need to drop an anchor. A third point worthy of note: when folded, the solar wings, together with removable glass panels and canvas sections, transform the central part of the powercat into an enclosed space measuring 130 square feet (12 m²), called the deck cabin. The table in the saloon can be lowered, and cushions added, to create a double 4'7" (1.4 m) berth. The interior is cozy and include a galley. In the hulls, there are two cabins and a heads compartment. The foredeck is fitted with a trampoline, which is lighter than a rigid deck. At the stern, the yard has designed two bathing platforms. A breve vi diremo tutto. Buona notte e a domani! Andrea
