A rainy day in the Wrangell, Alaska shipyard with our 80’ steel schooner Alaskan Gypsy. After rescuing her from sinking in Ketchikan, I’m inside tackling the next challenge — demolishing the bathroom (head) to reach a badly corroded section of hull plating. This short clip shows a small moment in a big refit — breaking down the old vanity, cutting out rotten plywood, and facing the reality of steel boat restoration. @nexdiving was kind enough to have me visit for a couple of days to learn about regulators. Plus, I got set up with a new sidemount harness, which I absolutely love. It has been YEARS since my Scuba Pro servicing course, and it was really helpful to get all of my questions answered and have hands-on experience with these regulators. Now it's time to practice working on them 🤓 Nex Underwater Products regulators are assembled by a knowledgable team in Monterey, California, and are the best regulators I've ever owned. See full video on my YTube channel. 🔗 in bio. If you check their gear out, use code AZUL to purchase, so I can track metrics. It's not an affiliate code (yet), but I hope to be able to offer you all a deal on these products soon!
