Dock Dodge is a sailboat race on Lake Union, annually May - September, held at 7 pm on Tuesday nights. On Tuesday, August 10th, the theme was Tropical Night. In this video, the island is being erected, for some fun in the sun! The island is a gathering spot for boaters to grab a drink and enjoy the company of fellow sailors after the race! Our new cruising yacht Viator Explorer 42 DS has 2x10KW electric motors as propulsion. Those motors can be used as hydrogenerators when sailing. We are testing this feature in this short video. The maximum output is about 21A, which equals about 1KW. But it is still very volatile, so we have to optimize the regeneration process.
